Meaning of the Grey Parrot
The history of African Grey parrots kept as pet's dates back over 4,000 years. Some Egyptian hieroglyphics clearly depict pet parrots. The ancient Greeks also valued parrots as pets. This custom was later adopted by wealthy Roman families who often kept parrots in ornate cages because parrots were prized for their ability to talk.

King Henry VIII of England also had an African Grey parrot. Portuguese sailors kept them as companions on their long sea voyages. It is widely accepted in the parrot-keeping community, that Greys understand their human companions at various human intelligence levels. For example, a young Grey (under a year) has the equivalent understanding of a human child in their toddler years, and that by the age of 5 years the same Grey will be equivalent to a precocious 5-year-old human child.

The Grey Parrot was the perfect icon to symbolize our commitment to produce intelligent and smart entertainment for our audiences.

Riley Schmidt was born just west of the Mississippi in the river town of St. Louis, Missouri.
He attended Vianney High School in Kirkwood and later graduated from the University of Missouri. Upon graduation he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue the entertainment industry. He met immediate success in both entertainment and business. He has been cast in hit shows such as "ER," "Cold Case," and "7th Heaven," to name a few. In 2003 he was the original founder of Beauty and the Bar, an award winning and prestigious staffing company that produced celebrity special events. After successfully selling the company in 2007, he founded Grey Parrot Entertainment in the beginning of 2008.

Andrea Monier

Andrea Monier graduated Valedictorian of her high school in Tucson, Ariz. and continued to college and graduated with Cum Laude honors from the University of Arizona's with a Systems Industrial Engineering Bachelor's Degree and minor in Theater Arts. Andrea started acting after a modeling agent began sending her out on film auditions, which she landed during college. However, upon graduation Andrea felt her place was in Los Angeles.

Once leaving Arizona, Andrea has been making her mark as an up-and-coming talent. She has been involved in numerous modeling campaigns, commercials, hosting, live events and films. Not only is Andrea successfully landing acting jobs, but has proven herself a commodity in the production side of the business, as well. She has also utilized her many talents working in PR, marketing, and event planning. Andrea wants to be a producer not to "make it" in "Hollywood" but to affect change and use the medium of film to inspire people to see the true art of humanity.

Some of Andrea's professional producing credits include: Stonehouse (in association with Sony Pictures), Ajar Films, FarSighted films (commercials), and development on several feature films in production.
